There is no modification needed at all. All you need to do is to open the back of the Instrument gauge and direct replace the stock bulbs with durable LED bulbs. Since LED lamp has + and – terminals, so if there is no lighting after inserting it into the socket, just simply change the terminal oppositely.

These LEDs are OK, and basically as described. The White is quite good but the Yellow lower in brightness. However, it is as I expected and these work OK. The only issue I had was that they took a lot longer than the expected time frame, but this was not the supplier fault. Shipping in general is going to be longer so I think you need to allow for that.
